The Holmes County General Health District publishes weekly reports which summarize flu activity in Holmes County and within the State of Ohio.
The most current report summarizes flu activity for the week of October 28-November 3rd, 2018. Flu activity in Holmes County has increased slightly and is considered “sporadic”, meaning that there are isolated lab confirmed cases. Emergency room visits for influenza like illness have increased in Holmes County and are slightly above statewide levels. To date, there has been 1 hospitalization due to influenza and 1 death related to influenza reported in Holmes County. The Ohio Department of Health is still reporting “sporadic” flu activity across the state as of November 3rd.
