The Holmes County General Health District publishes weekly reports which summarize flu activity in Holmes County and within the State of Ohio.
The most current report summarizes flu activity for the week of February 24-March 2, 2019. Flu activity in Holmes County continues to be elevated. Emergency room visits for influenza like illness (ILI) and outpatient visits for ILI are now above statewide averages. The number of influenza associated hospitalizations has exceeded the 5 year historical average for two consecutive weeks. The Ohio Department of Health continues to report "widespread" flu activity within the state.
Remember, its not too late to get your flu shot! Flu season runs through May. The Holmes County Health Department has flu vaccine available for adults and children at our immunization clinics.
